We had a lovely stay at The Sarasota Modern. The hotel is stylish, spotlessly clean and very modern.||One of the highlights was the fantastic selection of complimentary coffee, water and snacks available throughout the day, which was a really nice touch.||The pool area was very quiet and relaxing, with plenty of parasols providing welcome shade. The food and drinks were both excellent too.||My only negative was the cost of parking. At $42 per night, plus tipping the valet each time your car is brought round, it soon adds up and feels quite expensive.||Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again.

The overall stay was great with a great layout to the hotel and great pool area. It was a great spot to hang out by the pool and relax during the day while being within walking distance to most of the Downtown Sarasota restaurants. A few updates in the staff uniforms (bar and valet areas) and a welcome greeting by the valet would have made this an excellent stay. The bar staff was extremely nice and attentive as well as the front desk staff. Also wish the dining area was in use, if not just for breakfast. Overall, we love this place for the proximity and the pool deck area.

Overall would give The Sarasota modern 4/5! We stayed for the 4th of July and for the most part had a pleasant experience especially with a toddler! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Valet texting could use a refresh because we texted down for our car a few times where the valet person didn’t get the text (they were apologetic). The front desk girl was very friendly and did warn us about their July 4th pool party since had a little kid (I did wish they would have posted that on the website or had a forewarning before booking because we would have loved to go to pool without blaring DJ music). The rooms were pretty sound proof so that helped a lot since we faced the pool area. Also the party only lasted till 8pm so that was a huge plus. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfy! Our original room AC broke so they moved us on the last night to a suite on 5th floor which was appreciated. We were able to watch the July 4th fireworks from the marina on our balcony with our toddler! The suite was good size and huge bathroom with a bathtub outside. Overall, would recommend for a cute getaway, good / transparent service and comfy beds. Good location to St Armand’s and surrounding beaches. 15 min walk to the downtown restaurants!

I had the best stay last week! My room featured a private balcony with a beautiful clawfoot tub overlooking the pool, making it the perfect place to relax. The room was clean, beautifully appointed, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I also spent time by the pool, which was a great experience. I highly recommend ordering the Orange Crush from the pool bar. The bartenders, Nolan and Connor, were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. I can't wait for my next stay!

I wanted to recognize Juan, the bartender, for providing outstanding service. He is new to the property, but you would never know it. He is professional, personable, attentive, and genuinely makes guests feel welcome from the moment they sit down. Throughout my stay, Juan consistently remembered guests, anticipated what people needed, and always served with a smile. It’s rare to come across someone who combines great hospitality with such a positive attitude. He is a real asset to the hotel, and I hope management recognizes the excellent impression he is making. Thank you, Juan, for making my stay even more enjoyable.

Went for a conference and was blown away. Service was incredible. The pool was beautiful, probably the best I’ve seen in Sarasota, and the rooms were clean and had everything I needed. Will be returning again soon for fun so I can really enjoy the hotel and all their amenities!

I recently stayed at The Sarasota Modern for several weeks while my mother was in the hospital nearby, and I truly cannot say enough good things about the experience. What could have been an incredibly stressful and emotionally exhausting time was made infinitely more bearable because of the kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality of the staff. Every single member of the front desk team went above and beyond to accommodate me, always greeting me with warmth, patience, and compassion. The overnight staff deserves special recognition as well. No matter the hour, the level of service remained exceptional. Whether I was coming and going at odd times, needing assistance late at night, or simply exhausted after long days at the hospital, they consistently showed the same impeccable hospitality and attentiveness. Beyond the staff, the property itself is wonderful. charming, stylish, cool, and beautifully maintained. It became a comforting place to return to during a very difficult stretch of time. I am deeply grateful to everyone at The Sarasota Modern for turning a hard chapter into something far more manageable through simple human kindness and extraordinary service. This staff is proof that old school hospitality is alive and well. I truly couldn’t recommend this property more.

I was in town for a Leadership Conference and we stayed at the Sarasota Modern. The hotel was amazing! The staff were so professional and extremely courteous. The 7 Paintings dinner experience was out of this world also! They really do a great job and care about their guests! I would definitely stay here again and tell all my friends to do the same!
